Our Upcoming Programs

It’s time for our summer picnic! As some say, being outside is like “medicine for the mind”! We all need to breathe in some fresh air and relax.
So please join us for the picnic. Details are as follows:
The picnic is on July 10th. If you wish to attend, please RSVP by email by July 5th.
FOOD:   Each person can bring food for a minimum of 10 people. Please arrive by 11:30am for lunch at noon.
Please let either Pratibha Vagal ([email protected])  or Cynthia Chahal ([email protected]) know what you are bringing.
Bhelpuri, drinks, and paper supplies will be provided by IC.
We will not have electric outlets. So no chai/coffee. If you need a hot drink, please bring your own in a thermos.
There’s plenty of room at the shelter (ADA compliant). Bring your own chairs, if you can’t sit on the bench for long.
Food to bring: Either a salad, or a daal (lentils), or a sabzii (vegetable curry), or vegetable pulao, or a dessert. (for a minimum of 10 people), or 15 chapatis.
PAYMENTS:  The event is free if you are bringing the food. If you cannot bring food, please note that there is a fee of $12/person which will take care of the bhel puri, drinks and supplies.
Please pay the $12 via Zelle at [email protected]
GAMES: Besides the game suggested (in the attachment), feel free to suggest your own.
Practice Antakshari and try to beat the opposing team!
You are welcome to bring a carrom board if you have one. Other simple trivia games etc. will be played.
Please come prepared with 2 truths and 1 lie about yourself.
DIRECTIONS & PARKING: From El Toro Rd & Moulton Pkwy
Head southeast on Moulton Pkwy toward Via Campo Verde for 2.7 miles
Turn right on to La Paz Road.  After 1.7 miles, turn right to enter the park.
Laguna Niguel Regional Park, 28241 La Paz Road, Laguna Niguel, CA 92677
Follow the solid red line on the map. We will be at the LGS shelter (95% sure). A large green sign displays the shelter name.
If by chance we get a different shelter, I will notify you by 9AM on July 10th.
Parking will be $3/car. I think they don’t take the Discover card. You can carpool if you want to. Folks who need a ride,
please email me and I will find someone to help you. There is plenty of parking space. Restrooms are nearby (ADA compliant).
We need help with setup, cleaning, making/serving bhelpuri, etc. Please email me if you can help.
Thank you for lightening the burden of others!
